Trump's Policy Platform - Pt. 2
He Ran on Something. Right?
Part one.
Where are those jobs? The economy that he would make the best in history?
Please ignore the strong economy that Trump was handed by former President Joe Biden. Shhhhh.
Keep in mind that Trump continues to eject thousands of workers from their desks with dizzying speed and cruelty. Those people are Americans. A good number of those positions will either be filled by loyalists or deleted altogether.
Business leaders at dinner with Trump are robbing America. Overtly. They hallowed out the middle-class and lower middle-class and you in your red hat cheer for him. The expensive suits surrounding Trump could restart manufacturing operations anywhere in the 50 states. That would brighten the American economy for generations that aren’t even breathing yet.
Schools would flourish. Infrastructure in the U.S. could blossom based on the tax revenue that these companies WOULD BE PAYING. Right now. However the billionaires invest in countries in all parts of the world where labor costs are a pittance, taxes are lazy, and in the process they stand next to Trump and they smile.
They understand you.
U.S. wages don’t rise. Your rent goes up. The mortgage. Well, for those able to save enough for the down payment. Which is a dwindling number every day. Yet, you want to hate immigrants and deport them when the work they do buoys the economy. They pay taxes to the U.S. government that capitalists avoid with myriad tax loopholes. You flipped people off when you were asked to wear a mask when a global pandemic was killing people in the millions. You don’t like the honest lessons that teachers are opening the minds of your kids to.
The business owners that love Trump exploit this divisive environment while they, themselves, can choose to bring back blue-collar and white-collar professions to the borders of the U.S. New factories and gleaming office towers could be erected today. Wonderful.
Why isn’t this happening?
It’s harmful to those grabbing every dollar they can. The oligarchs don’t turn a lever to invigorate the U.S. because the profits they collect outsourcing labor to other parts of the ENTIRE WORLD are more beneficial and lucrative than to bother to grow the American economy.
They can bring entire industries back to the U.S. They won’t. They’ll just manufacture a smokescreen or other enemy for you to blame. Capitalists abandoned the future of the U.S. worker for a larger cut of the profits themselves. It is they that don’t invest back into the U, S, of A. You don’t see that. The answers are all around. Your red hat is too tight.
This is where the wealthy can tap into the bigotry that most of you can’t hide even if you had therapy for three decades. Four times a week. You are manipulated but still you support a man and a party that worked you like a punching bag only to own your vote.
You gave it. Willingly. To a man recorded asking an election official to “find” him votes in Georgia that didn’t exist.
You elevated a man who lost a fair election in 2020, launched a coup in response, continues to deny that loss in the year 2025, and when he ran for the very next election, he won.
Former President Ronald Reagan lied to all Americans with his “trickle down” sing-song nursery rhyme that wealth will cascade from the rich to the poor. Therefore giving all Americans a path to financial security. Republicans still peddle that fantasy dimension because…too many stare up at a flag (that was probably made in China) and ignore why the country’s fruit is only available to a select few.
Has he supported lowering the cost of prescription drugs?
No.
That would mean that he would go against forces that adore him — and the tax cut/deferral/break that he’s sure to give the wealthiest citizens and their companies.
Hey, Trump voter! If your Medicaid and Medicare aren’t saved by the politicians in the country that actually want to help all Americans, take home the fact that you thought Trump cared about you. You trusted that your beloved Republican Party valued your existence.
Is the cost of childcare decreasing because of Trump’s policies?
If you believe that I have capsules to sell you that replicate the benefits of the sun’s rays on Clark Kent. I’ll send you a link.
No, childcare expenses will not become less burdensome. Especially once Trump cuts government issued medical subsidies for that five trillion dollar welfare package to the billionaires who can’t get ahead in this tough world without a kind benefactor. Directly hacking spending on social safety net programs to funnel the finances upward.
SNAP budgets are shrinking. Today. Food is core to the lives of children. The child tax credit could be extended but that will have less of an impact on childhood poverty when the cost of everything rises. Obviously, groceries. The wealthiest nation on the planet is purposely taking food from the most vulnerable. As a directive of written policy. Not an unfortunate coincidence of some unbalanced math equation. It’s intended to harm those with less resources.
Some of you may have missed that at your Trump unity rallies. When parents are paying more for food and to care for a child or children, while they’re at work, there is no government assistance to lean on.
What’s left to chew?
He’s emptied government buildings. There’s a scheme bubbling for him and his administration to sell them and profit handsomely.
Trump’s campaign did focus on the press. Education. Prosecuting lawyers that investigated his involvement in the Capitol Insurrection — and the lawyers responsible for targeting him for impeachment. You know, for doing the jobs they were sworn to do.
Democracies do not function this way.
His campaign focused on the erasure of Black people — and the true erasure of American history. He attacked Civil Rights. He supports all efforts to disenfranchise Black voters and revoke their voting power.
Democracies do not function this way.
He spent ample time on trans rights - and immigration, and the “poisoning” of this country’s “blood.” Which the Trump voter loves. It’s like dinner scraps for a puppy patrolling near the feet of their family members at the kitchen table.
Trump bloviated about racism towards white people. Which is preposterous.
Trump has the built the wealthiest cabinet. Ever. Trump managed to convince those haggardly counting quarters between pay periods to feed themselves and barely escape homelessness that Democrats are the “elitists.” They’re the ones detached from the American people. The Trump cabinet members have enormous conflicts of interest. Some have investments in industries they’ll oversee. That’s both hands in the piggy bank they cracked.
Trump voters have a disturbing belief that he’ll “drain the swamp” to help them get ahead. Ignoring that his true audience is the billionaires near him. He wants to enrich them as that directly nurtures his very own wealth.
Trump voter, why did you think he cared about your life? Your income? Your healthcare insurance premiums?
Those defining themselves as “white working class” — and by most estimates the ones carrying the highest percentages of financial burden, voted for him. Using blind hope that he will deliver a greater country. Instead of taking your troubles to the oligarchs in the country that hoard all the wealth for themselves you blamed Black Americans, immigrants, LGBTQ+, women, Democrats, etc.
But you had your one, or two issues that determined your vote. His campaign wasn’t centered on unity.
He celebrated the success of his coup d'état for the world to see. You hollered with glee and stood by him. Every corner of the Earth could put a name to the takeover. Directly aided by the loving hands of American citizens. You were grateful for a coup d'état in a nation that markets itself as a democracy. “The oldest democracy” and all that nonsense that too many Americans repeat when that form of government only truly began in 1965.
He laughs at you as you let him win the country. Again.
He glides down hallways with his adoration society. All in suits and dresses more expensive than the cost to decorate your living space. Ruthless. Affluent in ways most will never dream of. Let alone get a fingertip near. Sabotaging livelihoods with equanimity.
What was the policy that won your vote?
When Americans were presented with the choice of a reasonable alternative, 49.9% of voters selected this administration.
